Zusammenfassung:	Compounds of formula (1) and their salts, wherein R is a methyl, ethyl or isopropyl group each substituted by a hydroxyl group or R is a group -(CH2nR7 or a group -CH(CH3)R (where n is zero or 1 and R is CHO or CO2H); Y is -CH2-, Y is -CH- and X represents [where R is a hydrogen atom or a group OR is a hydroxyl group or a substituted hydroxyl group having up to 25 carbon atoms) and R is a hydrogen atom, or R and R together with the carbon atom to which they are attached represent >C=O, >C=CH2 or >C=NOR (where R is a hydrogen atom or a C1-8 alkyl or C3-8 alkenyl group) and the group >C=NOR is in the E configuration] or -Y -X-Y - represents -CH=CH-CH- or -CH2-CH=C-; R is a group OR as defined above and R is a hydrogen atom, or R and R together with the carbon atom to which they are attached represent >C=O or >C=NOR (where R is as defined above for R ); and R is a hydrogen atom or a hydroxyl group. The compounds may be used to control nematode, acarine, insect or other pests.
