Alginate is crushed , dried in air at 60 deg.C. max. until a moisture content of less than 15% is reached. Finally the mineral is mulled to less than 50 micron size in a high velocity air-stream mill, causing particles to collide. Glycerol is added to the powder to prepare a cream.
