Zusammenfassung:A cylindrical piezo-element (1) is set in a body (3) with a support (4) in the form of a cone. The element (1) contacts an inertial element (2) and the body (3) with no gaps. A through-opening (17) is made in the inertial element (2) for a first current terminal (15) and a second current terminal (16) is fixed to the outer surface of the piezo-element (1). The electric signals from the surfaces of the piezo-element (1) are received through the current terminals (15,16). - Under the action of acceleration along the A-axis of the piezo-electric accelerometer, the sensitive piezo-element (1) is subjected to shear deformation and electric charges are formed on its cylindrical surfaces. These charges are received by current terminals (15,16) and are used to determine the magnitude of the acceleration acting on the piezo-electric accelerometer. A stiffening element (7) of the current terminals (15,16) is fixed in an opening (5) of the body close to one end of the piezo-element.
