CLEANING COMPOSITION FOR PROTHEZIS CONTAINING SAMARIUM COMPOUND AND METHYLENE-BLUE AS BACTERICIDE MATERIAL AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE CLEANING COMPOSITION

A denture cleaning prepn. contains samarium cpds. pref. samarium-sulpho -salicylic-acid complex and methylene-blue as anti-inflammatory and disinfecting agents. It also contains sulphanylic acid and alkali nitrites to prevent deposition of dangerous amine cpds. To control oxygen evolution a metal complex with a suitable dissociation constant is used, namely a chromium or manganese complex of EDTA or nitrilo-tri:acetic acid or of di:amino-cyclo-hexyl-tetra:acetic-acid. The prepn. also contains appropriate quantities of boric acid stabilised sodium-perborate-hydrate as a source of oxygen; sodium-dodecyl- as surfactant, an alkali hydrogen-carbonate to liberate carbon dioxide and a complexing agent
