Zusammenfassung:Diamond-contg. coating for use in machining metals is produced by applying a mixture contg. diamond powder to a metal surface substrate and then sintering it at a pressure of 10-50 MPa under the action of an electrical pulsed current with a density of 0.3-1.5 kA square mm and a pulse ratio of 0.25-1.0. The mixture applied, pref. by thermal spraying, to the metal is electrically conductive, with a specific electrical resistance of 0.05.10 power(-6) to 0.3.10 power(-3) ohm.m and compsn. of (vol. %) 24-60 diamond powder and up to 100 base metal with a specific electrical resistance of (0.014-1.7).10 power(-6).m.
