Zusammenfassung: | A roll for a tube or rod working machine has a stepped shaft on which an elastic sleeve and two screwed end support rings are mounted. The central portion of the shaft is relieved, and its ends locate the support rings, which are frustoconical in shape. Sleeve has matching conical ends, and is held firmly in position when rings are screwed home. A longitudinal hole and radial holes enable a cooling medium to be fed to the annular gap and the working surface of the roll. An alternative arrangement uses an axially compressed resilient bush between the sleeve and the shaft. Preferably, the length of this bush is 25-55% of the sleeve length, and 1.12-1.49 times the sleeve thickness. |
