Zusammenfassung:Block of granular promoted Fe oxide catalyst for NH3 synthesis contains a granular, promoted Fe oxide catalyst (I),alkali aluminate (II) and reinforcing elements (III).The novelty is that the block contains (I) powder with a deg. of dispersion of 0.01-0.5 microns, clay mineral and/or thermally treated clay mineral as filler (IV) and has the compsn. 87-0.96.4 (wt)% (I), 3.0-6.0% (II), 0.1-6.0% (IV) and 0.5-1.0% (III). - The block is produced by mixing (I) and (IV) with an aq. (II) soln. with a density of 1.49-1.6 g/cc, moulding the mix, with insertion of (III), and heat treatment at 300-600 deg.C.
