Zusammenfassung:The dispersions are prepd. by polymerising vinyl-acetate monomer or a mixt. of vinyl-acetate and its comonomers in an aq. medium with persulphate or peroxide initiators in the presence of PVA or hydroxy-ethyl-cellulose as protective colloid, an anionic surfactant and a buffer. At the end of the polymerisation the reaction mixt. is cooled to 50-70 deg.C 3-8 wt% dialdehyde based on the amt. of protective colloid present is added and the reactor is cooled to below 40 deg.C.
