Zusammenfassung:Low mpt. (L140deg.C) alloy for the coating of profiled articles with very smooth multifacted suraces contains / all wt%): 53-57 Bismuth, 0.4-00 antimony; 42-47 lead and opt. L0.1 indium and/or gallium. Antimony is dosed into molten lead and the bath is allowed to stand for at least 5 mins. prior to addn. of Bismuth. Finally 0.1-3 SnCl2 or another reducing agent is added. Dross is removed and the required profiled article is produced without intersite cooling of the die.
