The article (1, 2, 3) comprises a mass of smokable material (10) and a substrate. The mass of smokable material (10) is on the substrate (20). A first portion of the substrate (20) is more susceptible to eddy currents being induced therein by penetration with a varying magnetic field than a second portion of the substrate (20).
