Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a wick holder, a candle provided therewith and a method for providing such a wick holder for a candle. The wick holder according to the invention comprises: - a base sheet; - an opening arranged in the base sheet, wherein the opening is provided on a side of the base sheet facing upward during use with a sleeve-like body for receiving the wick; and - wherein in the sleeve -like body is arranged at least one side opening configured to allow passage of liquid candle material during use.
