Zusammenfassung:Sound-damping sandwich plate (10) comprises a first layer (20) for sound damping and/or soundproofing, and a second layer (30) for sound deadening and/or thermal insulation, whose first main side (32) is fixedly connected with the first layer, and second main side (38) is connected with a component to be acoustically improved. The second layer is a bitumen-plastic-foam layer with a density of 0.2-0.9 kg/m 3>, preferably 0.3 kg/m 3>. Independent claims are also included for: (1) sound damping- and/or sound insulation layer as part of a sandwich plate; (2) sound deadening layer as part of the sandwich plate; and (3) mounting the above sound-damping sandwich plate with first layer and the second layer, comprising fixedly (a) connecting the first main side of the second layer with the first layer, (b) connecting the second main side of the second layer with a component to be acoustically improved, comprising surfaces having contours, preferably beads, (c) adjusting the sandwich plate to the contours under melting conditions, preferably at 80-190[deg] C, and (d) reacting thermoplastic or thermo-reactive stiffening layer, or melting the hot-melt adhesive layer. The sandwich plate with a first layer is preferably made of (i) aluminum, steel, or fiber reinforced plastic, preferably with a thickness of 0.05-0.5 mm, (ii) thermoplastic or thermo-reactive stiffening layer, preferably made of epoxide-, phenol- or formaldehyde resin, polyurethane, or polystyrene, preferably with a thickness of 0.05-1 mm, or (iii) bitumen or plastic films, preferably with a thickness of 1.5-3 mm, and a second layer connected to the first layer, is mounted at the main side of the second layer, facing the component, by an adhesive layer made of pressure sensitive adhesive or hot melt adhesive (preferred) at the component, preferably at the contour surface of the component.
