DEVICE FOR SEPARATING THE COMPONENTS OF FLUID SOLUTIONS AND GAS MIXTURES AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE DEVICE

The invention concerns apparatus for the separation of the constituent components of liquid solutions and gaseous mixtures, comprising a cylindrical housing 2 open at both ends and provided with a lateral inlet and/or outlet coupling 1. A capillary membrane bundle 4 is arranged in the housing 2 by being journalled in resin fittings 5, 6 which sealingly close the open ends of the housing 2. In order to realise more simply the orderly fixing of the membranes 4 and to enable a used-up capillary membrane bundle 4 to be readily exchanged the resin fittings of the construction according to the invention consist of a securing fitting 5 which gathers the ends of the capillary membranes 4 into an orderly bundle and a closing fitting 6 formed around the securing fitting 5 at the end of the housing 2. The closing fitting 6 is formed in a shape-locking manner with the internal wall of the housing 2 while at the same time being axially relatively displaceable in relation to the housing 2. The sealed closure of the housing is assured by a sealing ring 3 seated in an annular groove 11 formed in the internal wall of the housing 2 between the closing fitting 6 and the internal wall of the housing 2.
