PROCESS FOR PREPARING SUBSTITUTED INDAZOLE-CARBOXYLIC ACID-HYDRAZIDES

For the preparation of the novel substituted carboxylic acid hydrazides of the general formula I, an indazole-3-carboxylic acid hydrazide of the general formula II is reacted with an aldehyde of the general formula III or a corresponding acetal at a temperature between 20 DEG C and 200 DEG C and the product is optionally then nitrated. In the formulae: R denotes a C1-4 alkyl group, R denotes a hydrogen atom or a C1-4 alkyl group, X denotes an oxygen atom or a sulphur atom, and Y denotes a hydrogen atom or a nitro group. The novel compounds have therapeutically useful antimicrobial and antifungal actions.
