This invention also relates to compositions comprising zopolrestat monohydrate and to methods of using zopolrestat monohydrate and compositions thereof to treat diabetic complications such as diabetic cataracts, diabetic retinopathy or diabetic neuropathy, lower blood lipid levels or blood uric level.
