Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a submerged burner for a furnace for melting glass or rock, said burner consisting at least partially, and preferably totally, of an alloy of the following composition, expressed in weight percentages of the alloy: - 15 to 25% Cr, - 8 to 20% Ni, - less than 5% Mo, - less than 3% and preferably less than 2% Mn, - less than 2% and preferably less than 1% Si, - less than 0.2 % and preferably less than 0.1% N, - less than 0.1% and preferably less than 0.05% P, - less than 0.05% S, the remainder being made up of iron, carbon and inevitable impurities, said alloy being characterised in that it additionally comprises at least one element selected from the group consisting of niobium and titanium, in that the weight ratio Cr/C in said alloy is between 250 and 830 inclusive, and in that the weight ratio (2Ti+Nb)/C in said alloy is between 5 and 65 inclusive.
