Zusammenfassung:	A surface-coated powder obtained by treating the surface of a powder with a siloxy-containing (meth)acrylic acid copolymer obtained by polymerizing (a) 55-65 mass% monomer represented by the following general formula (1): [Chemical formula 1] (1) (wherein R1 is H or CH3 and p is an integer of 2-6), (b) 20-30 mass% monomer represented by the following general formula (2): [Chemical formula 2] (2) (wherein R2 is H or CH3 and R3 is C1-5 alkyl or phenyl), and (c) 15-20 mass% acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid. This surface-coated powder is excellent in water resistance and adhesion to the skin. A cosmetic preparation containing this surface-coated powder neither gives a discomfortable feeling to the skin nor imposes a burden on the skin after application. The cosmetic preparation is excellent in skin adhesion and makeup retention.
