A LOCKING ASSEMBLY FOR A WING

The present invention provides a locking assembly for a wing capable of accurately restraining a locking tongue even if there is a deformation in the wing or the locking tongue and is suitable for use in various wing type cargo trucks with different swing radius of the wing. A slider adapted to move to and from a tongue striker is engaged with and supported by a guide member of a base, and a base end of a lever handle is pivotally supported by a first horizontal shaft at a lower side of the slider, and a base end of a suppressing arm having a front end adapted to contact with and depart from the tongue striker is pivotal ly supported by a second shaft at an upper side of the slider. At an upper position where the slider is moved towards the tongue striker, the suppressing arm is rotated and raised to a slanted position through the lever handle, to release the locking tongue from being restrained by the front end of the suppressing arm. The slider is then retreated to a lower position with the suppressing arm being held at an attitude of releasing the locking tongue.
