Zusammenfassung:	Equipment for the treatment of particulate material, pref. grain, by electronic irradiation which is applied to the grain as it falls freely through a process chamber, at ambient conditions, onto a conveyor belt. At least one broad band emitter (2) provides the radiation through a window (4) at a breadth greater than the grain flow. A ventilator system cools the window and also prevents ingress of dust. Provision is made to prevent emission of X-rays.
