Process for selectively mono-ortho-hydroxy alkylation of 4-substituted pyridine derivatives
A process is described for the preparation of a pyridine derivative according to the general formula II. For this purpose, a nucleophilic hydroxyalkylation reaction is carried out on the protonated pyridine derivative according to the general formula I under the action of peroxodisulphate.
