A universal joint comprises a resilient spherical male member 1, having laterally extending spigots 2a, snapped into a complementary resilient female member 5a having slots 11 for the reception of the spigots 2a. The members are preferably made as one piece mouldings of synthetic plastic material, the member 5a being formed with a lip 8a for the retention of the member 1. In an embodiment shown in the Provisional Specification, the slots 11 extend through the walls of the member 5a for the reception of longer spigots 2a. The two members have shanks 3 formed with axial D-shaped bores for the reception of correspondingly shaped shaft ends.
