[Also in Division H1] An induction coil for telephone instrument No. 706 of the British Post Office has a core formed from two C-shaped parts, which core seats in a housing 14 on the moulded plastic base-plate 16, and is secured by the engagement of the spring clip 18, which may be of nickel silver, upon the nosepiece 29 of the non- magnetic member 24 which has tongues 25, 26 embracing the core, as shown. The member 24 which may be of sheet brass. together with the banding strip 31 secured thereto which may be of stainless steel, form the clamping arrangement for the core, and a metal plate which seats in the housing 14, may be soldered to the banding strip at the base of the core to prevent tilting of the core. |
