Improvements in animal feeding stuffs

An animal lick comprises a solid substantially homogeneous admixture of glucose or other crystallizable sugar, and a non-toxic water-soluble solution inhibitor which is a natural or synthetic gum or other colloidal substance capable of forming a highly viscous solution in water e.g. gum acacia, methyl-, methyl ethyl- or sodium carboxy methyl-cellulose, sodium alginate or pectate, gelatine, soluble starch derivatives, in amount by dry weight of from 0.25% to 10% of the total admixture. Chalk in amount 1 to 15% and other nutrients &c. may also be incorporated as described in Specification 938,921.
