The invention comprises compounds of the formula in the d-threo and dl-threo forms and their preparation by esterfying d-threo- or dl-threo-1-pmethylsulphonylphenyl- 2-dichloracetamido-1, 3-propanediol with monochloracetic acid chloride. Specifications 745,900 and 770,277 also are referred to.
