Zusammenfassung:	Polymeric compounds are obtained by reacting polyoxyalkylene compounds with aliphatic aldehydes, with dicarboxylic acids or their anhydrides, or with diisocyanates. Examples are given of the reaction of polyethylene glycols of average molecular weight 300 to 1,000, with paraformaldehyde, sebacic acid, diglycollic acid, maleic anhydride, phthalic anhydride, pyromellitic dianhydride or hexamethylene diisocyanate. The reaction with paraformaldehyde takes place in toluene and a few drops of concentrated sulphuric acid. Some of the reactions are carried out under nitrogen.
