Zusammenfassung:	Spinnerets for melt-spinning synthetic high molecular weight linear polymers have one or more orifices having a cross-section in the form of a trident with a handle, each of the slots EB, AX, DB and CY having a width of one-half to one-eighth of its length and the length of no slot being more than half as great again as the average length of all the slots. Yarns produced with the spinneret are suitable for crimping by the process of Specification 913,882. The polymer may be a polyamide such as polyhexamethylene adipamide, but other polymers are also specified. Specifications 710,087, 732,929, and U.S.A. Specification 2,637,893 also are referred to.
