Zusammenfassung: | 904,782. Television. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Jan. 20, 1960, No. 2023/60. Addition to 899,234. Class 40 (3). [Also in Group XL (c)] In a modification of the parent Specification the indicators are read simultaneously by a flying-spot scanner and the outputs are combined for local or remote viewing on a television receiver. Flying-spot scanner 12 co-operates via mirrors 9, 10, 11 with map-carrying plate 6 and meters 1, 2, 3 fed from D.F. equipment over lines 25, 26, 27 to cause photo-cells 14 . . . 17 to generate trains of corresponding picture signals which are combined and fed to local and remote television receivers or monitors 21, 22. To remove the image of a non-indicating meter, relays A, B, C are actuated to close their respective contacts a, b, c only if a signal is present on the corresponding meter line. Keys 28A . . . 28C, 29A . . . 29C enable operators at the respective stations to select desired bearing indications. Images of markers or cursors may be included. Where many indicators are used two or more scanning systems are employed and all photo-cell outputs are combined; alternatively electron multiplier cells may be used. |
