Compositions comprising low-pressure polyolefins

A composition comprises a major proportion of a polyolefine, preferably made by using a Ziegler-type catalyst and a minor proportion of a nuclearly amino-substituted benzoic acid ester of the general formula, R11R1NC6H4COOR in which R is a hydrocarbon radical, and R1 and R11 represent either a hydrogen atom, or a hydrocarbon radical or an acyl or aroyl radical. The compositions may also contain conventional antioxidants, thermal stabilizers, fillers, pigments, and anti-static additives. Specified compounds of the above general formula are ethyl, n-butyl, n-hexyl, n-octyl, and dodecyl p-aminobenzoate, methyl 2-(methyl-amino), methyl 2-(cyclohexylamino), ethyl p-ethylamino, ethyl p-dibutylamino, butyl p-butylamino, butyl p-dibutylamino, dodecyl p-ethylamino, ethyl p-acetylamino, and ethyl p-ethylamino benzoate. Other ingredients which may be present are trilauryl or triphenyl phosphite, 4,41-thiobis(3-methyl-6-tert. butyl phenol), 2,6-ditert. butyl-4-methyl phenol, 2,5-ditert. butyl hydroquinone, 2- and 3-butyl-4-methoxy phenol, zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate, mercapto benzimidazole, zinc dibutyl dithiocarbonate, oxycresylcamphane derivatives, N-stearoyl-p-aminophenol, and calcium, lithium, lithium hydroxy, and aluminium stearate.
