Improvements in or relating to fungicidal compositions

A fungicidal composition comprises as active ingredient at least one maleimide substituted in the a and a 1 positions by the groups X and Y respectively and on the N atom by the group R X being selected from H, Cl and Br, Y being selected from H (except when X is H), Cl (except when X is Br) and Br (except when X is Cl) and R being selected from hydrogen, and (except when X and Y are both chlorine) a monocyclic carbocyclic group which can be substituted or unsubstituted together with a carrier in which the active ingredient is not soluble to any appreciable extent. Specified active ingredients are N-p-tolyl monochloromaleimide, dibromomaleimide, N - phenyl dibromomaleimide, N-p-tolyl dibromomaleimide and N-cyclohexyl dibromomaleimide.
