Zusammenfassung: | Chloroprene is obtained by dehydrochlorinating 3,4-dichlorbutene-1 with aqueous alkali in the presence of a substantially inert waterimmiscible liquid organic compound boiling above the boiling point of 1-chlorbutadiene (68 DEG C.), and separating by distillation an overhead fraction containing chloroprene substantially free from 1-chlorbutadiene. Suitable organic liquids include inert aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons and also chlorinated hydrocarbons such as dichlorbutanes which react slowly with the aqueous alkali. Increased or reduced pressures may be used. Specification 798,394 is referred to. |
