Zusammenfassung:862,110. Bottling. ROCKCOTE PAINT CO. March 13, 1959 [Sept. 2, 1958], No. 28118/58. Class 125(2). [Also in Group XXVIII] A liquid dispensing machine particularly for paint comprises a number of reservoirs 11 mounted on a carrier 10 which is rotatable about an axis 68, and a separate dispensing pump 12 associated with each reservoir so that by turning the carrier 10 the pump may be brought into alignment with a driving mechanism 13 which is adapted to reciprocate the pump operating rod 58. When the rod 58 is reciprocated the pump cylinder 48 is supported at the side furthest from the reservoir by a U-shaped member 125. The carrier 10 is rotated manually by a crank, gear and chain drive to the sprocket 167 and is supported at its periphery by wheels 34 disposed on legs 29, horizontal wheels 37 operating to centre the carrier. The cylinder 48 of each pump is screwed to a rigid block 61 which is fixed in a projecting part at the bottom of the reservoir and is perforated at 68 to allow liquid to flow into the pump. The pump piston 53 has a valve 56 which opens as the piston is raised and the nozzle 49 of the cylinder has a check valve 52. The piston is reciprocated by a jaw 81 which is movable by the screw and gear mechanism 86, 92 and 93 manually operated by the crank 96 with handle 97. The distance the jaw moves is varied by rotation of a cam plate 105 against which the jaw abuts in its lower position. The block 91 in which the crank is journalled is resiliently held in place by spring 100 arranged to be overcome when a certain pressure (i.e. when the jaw abuts the cam plate) is applied to the crank. The U-shaped member 125 supports the outside of the pump in operation and is mounted at the upper end of a pivoted yoke 127 which straddles the box 23 at the dispensing station and is movable into and out of engagement with the pump by a latch lever 136 with handle 142. An interlocking rod extending between the member 125 and the jaw 81 is arranged to prevent movement of the jaw when member 125 is not in operative position and also to prevent this member from being disengaged from its operative position when the jaw is not in its uppermost position. The reservoirs 11 are detachably secured to the carrier 10 and have stirrers 178 and 180 rotated by belt 182a and have a filler opening with plug 172 having a vent hole 173 and a container for a pad 174a impregnated with a thinning agent and an anti-oxidant. Rollers for wiping the tips of the nozzles after use are inc
