Zusammenfassung: | 859,054. Discharge tubes. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Sept. 30, 1958 [Aug. 16, 1957], No. 25937/57. Class 39(1). A solid getter material acting as a continuous getter at ordinary temperatures has its surface abraded to remove contaminated portions and expose fresh material. The getter material envisaged is titanium, used in the manufacture of such devices as cathode ray tubes and X-ray tubes. It may be in the form of a boat or a hollow drum containing carborundum grains as the abrasive agent. Alternatively abrasion may be effected by a brush, manipulated from outside the vacuum system by means of a flexible wall portion. |
