Zusammenfassung: | Polyurethane foams are obtained by reacting, in a first stage, a polyisocyanate and a hydroxyended polyether, adding, in a second stage, water and a basic catalyst, this second stage being performed in the presence of a polymeric substance containing groups reactive with organic isocyanate and acting as a foam stabilizer. Suitable reactants are given, the catalyst being tertiary amines, and the stabilizers including cellulose caprate and ethyl cellulose. Other additions are organo polysiloxanes and surface active agents containing sulphonic acid and/or sulphate ester groups. Specification 842,734 is referred to.ALSO:Cellular polyurethanes are obtained by reacting, in a first stage, a polyisocyanate and a hydroxy-ended polyether, adding, in a second stage, water and a basic catalyst, this second stage being performed in the presence of a polymeric material containing groups reactive with organic isocyanate and acting as a foam stabilizer. Suitable reactants are given, the catalysts being tertiary amines, and the stabilizers including cellulose caprate and ethyl cellulose. Foam structure can be varied by adding organopolysiloxanes and surface active agents with sulphonic acid and/or sulphate ester groups. Specification 842,734 is referred to. |
