Zusammenfassung: | 850,056. Lamp caps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Sept. 8, 1958 [Sept. 20, 1957], No. 29654/57. Class 38 (1) In an electric indicator lamp of the plug-in type having metal contact plates 6, 7 lying on diametrically opposite sides of a tubular glass envelope 1 and a base member 10, of insulating material attached to envelope 1, the contact plates, which are shaped to the curvature of the envelope, extend beyond it to lie along the base member 10 and are fixed to both these parts by an adhesive such as Paralac thus avoiding the need for member 10 to be secured to envelope 1 by capping cement. The projecting ends 8, 9 of the plates, to which wires 3, 4, leading to tungsten filament 2, are soldered, fit along seatings and engage abutments 12, 13 in base member 10 which has a wedge 11 for guiding the plates into engagement with the socket contacts. After assembling, the base end of the assembly is coated, by dipping, with an insulating varnish such as Paralac. |
