Zusammenfassung:848,666. Laying concrete. LAING & SON Ltd., J. Sept. 6, 1956 [Sept. 29, 1955], No. 27749/55. Class 107. Concrete is laid on to areas to be paved by depositing it without free fall in a hopper 10 having helical conveyers 14, 15 substantially filling its outlet. The concrete is placed in a skip (not shown) discharging into a boot 28 from whence it is conveyed to the hopper 10. Screw conveyers 14, 15 move the material outward to distribute it evenly between forms 13 having rails 12 on which the wheels of the apparatus run. The exit from the hopper is shown in detail in Fig. 4 and has adjustable plates 16, 16a to control the depth of layer provided and a baffle plate 23 also assists in controlling the discharge of material. The conveyers may comprise paddles arranged to give a lateral spread of concrete. The apparatus is controlled by a Ward-Leonard system having a master primemover and individual generators. Specification 569,977 is referred to.
