Class 139 A watch crown comprises a body 15, Fig. 1, having a depending rim 17 and a central sleeve 16 defining a stepped recess 18, 21. The case pendant 11 is located in the portion 18 of the recess and a sealing O-ring S is held in the portion 21 by a retaining ring 23 fixed by peening at 26 to the crown. The O-ring is so compressed that it engages the surrounding crown and pendant faces at a, b, c and d. In a modification, Fig. 5, a pair of sealing rings S1, S11 are used.
