Zusammenfassung:Compounds of the formula where X and Y represent alkoxy, phenoxy or acyloxy groups and where only an acyloxy group may occur twice, by reacting together n mols. of one or more substances selected from the group consisting of: aluminium trichloride, aluminium dichlor - monoalkoxide, aluminium dichlor - monophenoxide, aluminium dichlormonoacylate, aluminium monochlor - dialkoxide, aluminium monochlor-diphenoxide, aluminium monochlor - diacylate, aluminium monochlormonoalkoxide - monophenoxide, aluminium monochlor - monoalkoxide - monoacylate, aluminium monochlor - monophenoxide-monoacylate, with m mols. of one or more different substances selected from the group consisting of: aluminium triacylate, aluminium triphenoxide, aluminium trialkoxide, aluminium dichlor - monoalkoxide, aluminium dichlor - monophenoxide, aluminium dichlormonoacylate, aluminium monochlor-dialkoxide, aluminium monochlor - diphenoxide, aluminium monochlor - monoalkoxide - monophenoxide, aluminium monochlor - diacylate, aluminium monochlor - monoalkoxide - monoacylate, aluminium monochlor - monophenoxide-monoacylate, where n and m are integers. The process of Specification 806,182 where the organic aluminium compounds are prepared by reacting aluminium trichloride with aluminium alkoxides, phenoxides, triacylates or alkoxy (or phenoxy) acylates is disclaimed. The reaction is effected by heating the reactants together until a homogeneous liquid melt is obtained and an inert solvent such as xylene may be used if desired. The examples describe the preparation of aluminium monochlor-monoisopropoxide mono stearate from aluminium trichloride, aluminium tristearate and aluminium isopropoxide; aluminium trichloride, aluminium monostearate-di-isopropoxide and aluminium di - stearate - mono - isopropoxide; aluminium dichlor monoisopropoxide and aluminium di-stearate-mono isopropoxide; aluminium dichlor-monostearate and aluminium di - isopropoxide monostearate; aluminium monochlor - distearate and aluminium monochlor - di - isopropoxide; aluminium monochlor - monophenoxide - monostearate from aluminium monochlor - diphenoxide and aluminium monochlor - distearate; aluminium monochlor - monoisopropoxide - monophenoxide from aluminium dichlormonoisopropoxide and aluminium monoisopropoxide - diphenoxide and aluminium monochlor - mono - sec.-butoxide monopalmitate from aluminium monochlor - di - sec. butoxide and aluminium tripalmitate.
