Zusammenfassung:	An hydraulic fluid comprises a mixture of blown castor oil, a non-volatile solvent, and either 1,2,3-benzotriazole or a carbonate or carbamate of a non-aromatic amine such as n-butylammonium, cyclohexylammonium, or oleylammonium carbonate or carbamate. When a carbonate or carbamate of an amine is used the composition preferably contains a triarylphosphite such as triphenyl, tritolyl or tris-(nonyl phenyl) phosphite. The solvent may be a mixture of glycols, glycol ethers and polyglycol ethers. The composition may contain 5 to 60% by weight of blown castor oil, and 0.01 to 2% by weight of benzotriazol or 0.05% to 2% by weight each of the amine carbonate or carbamate and of the phosphite. A minor proportion of the blown castor oil may be replaced by castor oil. Examples are given.
