An hydraulic liquid composition comprises one or more organic triamidothionophosphates of formula: where R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are alkyl or aryl groups. Examples of such compounds are N-lauryl- N1, N11 - dioctyl - triamidothionophosphate, N- octyl - N1, N11 - dilauryl - triamidothionophosphate, N,N1,N11 - tri - 2 - ethylhexyl - triamidothionophosphate, N,N1,N11 - tri - α - naphthyltriamidothionophosphate, and N - lauryl- N1,N11 - di - 2 - ethylhexyl - triamidothionophosphate. The hydraulic liquid may comprise diethyleneglycol monoethylether, butylglycol, the bisricinoleate of a polyethyleneglycol, castor oil, ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, cyclohexanol, glycerine, glycerine triacetate, ethyleneglycolmonoethylether, and diacetone alcohol. The composition contains 0.1 to 40 per cent by weight of the triarnidothionophosphate. Examples of compositions are given.
