[Also in Group XXIX] In an inflation valve adapter for dual chamber tubes comprising a rigid element 3 having an axial bore 6 connectible at one end to the usual inflation valve 2 and at its other to the inner of the two tubes to which a rubber base 4 secured to the element 3 is bonded, a passage 14 in a lateral extension 5 of the base communicates with a space between the inner and outer tubes and with an elbow passage 9 in the rigid element, and is reinforced with a spiral 15 of brass wire or brass-covered steel wire so that when the extension is bonded to the inner and outer tubes by the application of pressure and heat the rubber is prevented from blocking the passage. In a modification, the elbow passage 9 is replaced by a pair of radial bores, opening into the axial bore 6, which lead to passages in a pair of oppositely disposed lateral extensions of the base.
