Zusammenfassung: | 797,530. Resilient mountings. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. May 8, 1956 [May 10, 1955], No. 13538/55. Class 108(3) A vibrating eliminating or damping mounting for a body 1 which is to be capable of translatory motion only, comprises at least two pairs 3, 6, and 4, 5, of hydraulic bellows or equivalent devices filled with liquid, the bellows of each pair being secured at one end to the body 1 with their longitudinal axes displaced in parallel planes so as to be non-coaxial and arranged so that, when expanded, they exert pressure on the body 1 in opposite directions in said planes, and pipe lines 7, 8, interconnecting the bellows of each pair respectively so as to permit transference of liquid from the one to the other. Instead of the arrangement shown, the bellows 3, 6, may be placed respectively at the opposed corners of the other diagonal of the plate 1. In another modification, in addition to the bellows shown in the drawing, there may be two further pairs of bellows disposed respectively at opposite ends of the second diagonal. A further system of bellows similar to that shown may be used to prevent rotation in a horizontal plane. Rotation about a horizontal axis may be prevented by the invention described in Specification 791,342. The interconnecting means 7, 8, comprise conduits which may embody restriction valves. The bellows may be resilient- |
