Zusammenfassung: | 792,180. Spray-producers. NORGREN CO., C. A. Jan. 6, 1956, No. 532/56. Class 69 (3). [Also in Group XXXIV] A venturi plug 10 for aerosol type lubricators is rotatably mounted to intersect a conduit 13 for compressed air and is provided with a passage 12 connected through a passage 38 to an oil reservoir. The passage 12 terminates in a tube 18 inside an annular chamber 20 which has an inlet 23 and an outlet 25 of substantially smaller diameter than that of the inlet. The plug 10 has a by-pass 26 formed by cutting a small section out of the side of the plug. With the plug in the position shown in horizontal section in Fig. 3, most of the air flows through the by-pass 26, the remainder flowing through the inlet 23 and entraining oil from passage 12 as the air leaves the chamber 20. The mixed air and oil flow through a chamber 40 and passages 41, 43 to the outlet 11. The plug 10 is set to produce the most oil mist when the inlet 23 is coaxial with the conduit 13, the bypass 26 being then closed to the passage of air therethrough. |
