[Also in Groups XIII and XXIX] Means for separating liquid from a compressed gas conduit comprises an inlet 13 leading to a filter 18 for removing solid matter, a plate 24 with vanes 26 for directing the gas downwardly in a circular path, a reservoir 34 for collecting liquid thrown against the wall by the motion of the gas, and an outlet 14 for the gas. A drain valve 57 is opened upon the accumulation of liquid in the reservoir by a fluid-pressure servomotor (see Group XXIX) comprising a diaphragm 61 subject to gas pressure under the control of a float-actuated pilot valve 49.
