Zusammenfassung: | 702,845. Packaging. EXPANDITE, Ltd. April 7, 1952 [April 5, 1951], No. 7943/51. Addition to 672,264. Class 94 (1) [Also in Group VIII] A strip, sheet or gasket of rubber-bitumen, bitumen or other joint-sealing composition is enclosed in a wrapper comprising paper, cardboard or like material, a film-like coating which makes contact with the composition and is substantially impervious thereto, and a parting layer interposed between the paper &c. and the coating, whereby the paper &c. may be easily stripped from the coating and composition when the latter is to be used. A strip of sealing composition may be extruded on to a strip of paper having on both sides a layer of clay or bentonite and a coating of a natural or synthetic rubber composition, such as neoprene, polyethylene or a polymer or copolymer of vinyl or vinylidene chloride, the coated paper being unwound from a reel and wound-up with the extruded strip to form a self-supporting coil. Alternatively the paper and strip may be wound on a core. The sides of the roll may be covered with paper sheets having the coating and layer on one side only. Similar sheets may be used for wrapping a gasket. |
