Zusammenfassung: | 700,017. Generating combustion products under pressure. LUCAS (INDUSTRIES), Ltd., J. Feb. 8, 1952 [March 5, 1951], No. 5232/51. Class 51 (1) In an air jacketed type of combustion chamber for a prime mover such as a gas turbine or jet propulsion engine, the flame tube comprises a pair of co-axial cylindrical parts a, b of substantially equal diameter which are spaced apart to form a gap c corresponding to a region on which soot is liable to be deposited. The gap is enclosed by a sleeve d of greater diameter than the cylindrical parts and the sleeve is secured at its ends to the cylindrical parts which it overlaps to form annular air passages e therebetween. Apertures f are formed near the ends of the sleeve for admission of air to the annular passages from the surrounding air jacket. Other apertures h may also be formed in the sleeve. |
