Class 29 Ice-making cups 20 for domestic refrigerators have one or more recesses or depressed portions 23 in their upper edges to allow excess liquid to drain out whereby ice does not form above the rim flange 22a and prevent ejection of the cube. The cups are moulded of polyethylene and instead of having notches formed as shown may have the rim formed as a shallow concave curve. The cups fit in recesses formed by a longitudinal rib 15 and transverse ribs 16 in a metal tray with side wells 11 rolled at the edges 11a. Drain grooves 18 with holes are provided in the bottom of the tray.
