Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus for densifying and granulating dry solid materials, particularly carbon black, comprises a rotary drum 8, whose axis is horizontal or slightly inclined, divided into compartments by partitions 14, 15, 16, disposed at right angles to the axis of the drum, which have holes 17 closed by adjustable slides (not shown) to any desired extent, and means for feeding, screw conveyer 7, and removing material at a substantially constant rate. The granules at the exit end are lifted by ploughs 18 to a connected rotary cylindrical offtake chamber 23 having baffles 24, and pass thence through screen 25 to remove oversize. Hammers 19 which reciprocate in guides 20 by the action of cams on the surface of drums 8 may be provided.
