Zusammenfassung:	Case for binding a bundle of leaves (12) or the like, comprising a cover (2) and a binding element (3), whereby the cover (2) comprises a spine (4) and two endpapers (5), whereby the spine (4) comprises a base (6) and two upright legs (7) and whereby the binding element (3) is applied in the spine of the cover, characterised in that the binding element (3) comprises a binding leaf (8) which is applied in the spine (4) of the cover (2) by means of a glue strip (9), all this such that two edges (10) of the binding leaf (8) extend in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the spine (4), whereby the glue strip (9) extends near the middle between said two edges (10), whereby on the level of said edges (10) on the side of the binding leaf (8) facing away from the endpapers (5) a layer of self-adhesive glue (11) is provided.
