Zusammenfassung: | An apparatus for controlling ventilation in a building 100 comprises a sail member 102 extending from a corner of the building to direct air flow from an exterior towards an interior of the building. A first tubular member 104 is coupled to a windward member of the building and directs the air flow in a downward direction. Second 108 and third 110 tubular members are coupled to the first tubular member and increase the air flow received from the first tubular member. The air flow is used to provide electricity to a mechanism which controls ventilation of the building. The second tubular member may comprise a conversion device 112 which converts energy from the air flow into electrical energy. The second tubular member may be installed below the building. The first tubular member may have a plurality of slots 106 which receive air flow directed from the sail member. A corresponding method is also claimed. |
