A cable gland

A cable gland 10 comprises a first gland component 12, a second gland component 14 and a nut 16, the first gland component and the second gland component have corresponding first 22 and second 32 threaded portions, the nut includes a threaded inner surface wherein a portion of the threaded inner surface corresponds to the thread on the first and second gland components, the two gland components are connectable together by aligning and contacting the first ends of the two gland components and engaging the thread of the nut with the thread of both of the gland components. The nut may include a restriction 15 (Figure 4) which engages with the second gland component. A seal nut 40 and compression seal 42 (Figure 4) may be included the seal providing a seal when the seal nut is tightened. A resin pot component 44 may be included. The embodiment of Figure 9 shows the threaded sections of the first and second cable gland components and the nut having different diameters.
